A man packed 49 garlic cloves into his mouth in order to win a garlic eating competition.
The man ate the 49 cloves of garlic in just under five minutes in a contest in Dorset, United Kingdom.
Oliver Farmer of Charmouth won the first Annual World Garlic Eating Competition after eating Iberian garlic.
"It was absolutely fantastic and an incredible result," Organizer Mark Botwright, 49, of South West Garlic Farm near Bridport, said.
The event at the George Inn in Chideock saw 26 contestants eat as much raw garlic as possible in five minutes.
The garlic had to be eaten one at a time.
The champion won a trophy and a cash prize of 100 pounds.
Ali Harvey of Seatown, ranked second, eating 46 garlic cloves.
All proceeds from the entry fee will be donated to Weldmar Hospicecare trust and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Botwright said the competition next year could see a change in the rules so that competitors could win a place in the Guinness World Record book.
The current record is held by Deepak Sharma Bajagain who ate 34 whole cloves in a minute in Kathmandu, Nepal, in 2009.
