A man was arrested and charged with child porn related charges after he allegedly posted adult rated photos of his former underage girlfriend to the internet in order to get revenge, according to police reports in Nevada.
"People posting pictures of their exes online is not funny, it is actually revenge, and revenge is what is leading to the thrill of doing something that is absolutely wrong," Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong said.
His office is familiar with "revenge adult rated photos" because his office is now investigating a disturbing case.
"I do not think it's the first case we have seen and pursued, we have different levels of this type of activities," Furlong said.
28-year-old Ivan Botello was arrested Friday by the department after publishing revenge adult rated photos online.
That in itself is not illegal, but the girl on the pictures is just 16-years-old.
"She's a minor, the pictures were very, very provocative, the suspect took the photos and distributed them," Furlong said.
Across the country, there is a push to criminalize posting adult rated pictures of an ex, no matter the age of the subject.
