The wife of Breslov leader Eliezer Berland was arrested and is being held under house arrest after allegedly stealing charity money, according to police reports in Israel.
Jerusalem Police said that Tehila Berland, who is accused of stealing from the nonprofit organization Shuvu Banim, was released from custody to house arrest. She was summoned to a local police station next week for more questioning.
Tehila Berland joins her son and grandson under house arrest. Her husband fled to Morocco after allegedly raping numerous women and underage girls.
Police told a court that there is evidence showing the Tehila Berland stole millions of shekels from charity organizations.
She was released to house arrest, and was ordered not to contact any person associated with Breslov, either directly or through a third party.
She was banned from leaving the country for 90 days, and she was ordered to surrender her passport. Berland was required to post 200,000 shekels for bail.
