Seven baggage handlers were arrested and charged with theft related charges after they were caught stealing from El Al passengers, according to police reports in New York.

New York Police said that seven men working at John F. Kennedy International Airport have been accused of stealing iPads, iPhones, cash and jewelry from passengers' luggage.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said Friday the Israeli airline installed video cameras since April 1, after customers complained about the missing items.

Prosecutors said the video showed the defendants taking jewelry, cash, watches, computers and other items, and putting those items into their pockets or down their pants.

Officials said that thousands of dollars worth of stolen goods were found in the suspects’ homes and cars.

The investigators said that they went to the home of one suspect and recovered bottles of cologne, Valentino glasses, Sony Playstations and 14 watches, including one worth $5,000.

Cameras and a Cartier watch were discovered in the house of another defendant.
