A woman hired a hitman to kill her husband in exchange for some postage stamps, according to police reports in New York.
New York City Police said that a woman was arrested on Thursday, for hiring a hitman to kill her husband in exchange for $60,000 in rare stamps and jewelry.
Elena Sava-Adams, 57, allegedly wanted her banker husband, Irving Adams, to be hit by a car because of an argument over finances.
The former Israel Discount Bank of New York employee told police that he has been unemployed for five years.
"She is at war with her husband for the money," police said.
The ruthless woman went to a man, saying that she wanted her husband to be called to Brooklyn because Brooklyn has less surveillance cameras than Manhattan.
The hitman asked for $10,000 in cash. She offered stamps and jewelry because she didn't have the cash.
The man then went to the police.
Police set up a meeting place where the woman was recorded. She was later arrested.
