(Scroll down for video) A teen girl was freaking out after seeing a spider, so she decided to call the police, according to police reports in Oregon.
Forest Grove Police said that a local teenager did not call 911 to report an emergency, but instead, she called to report a spider.
Police said it happened during the night of August 16.
"I'm home alone and there's a giant spider on the back of my couch, and I mean giant. I have never seen a spider that big and I have no idea what to do," the girl told the perplexed dispatcher, according with police records.
The girl said that the spider was the size of a baseball, similar to a tarantula.
An officer did respond to the scene and calculated that the spider was about 2 inches in diameter.
Modern police equipment was not necessary to get rid of the eight-legged animal in this case.
The officer has disposed the spider with a crumpled piece of newspaper, police said.
