(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested and will be charged with smuggling related charges after she was allegedly caught smuggling puppies hidden inside her baby carriage into Israel, according to Customs officials.

Customs inspectors at Ben Gurion Airport caught two little dogs of the Spitz breed, wrapped in cloth diapers. The suspect was identified by police as a 40-year-old woman, who returned from a trip to Ukraine. Police suspect that she was going to sell the puppies for thousands of shekels after forging the puppies’ health certificates.

The woman, a resident of the Israeli city of Modi'in, who had arrived on a flight from Ukraine, tried to pass through customs without declaring her dogs. Due to information the office of the Israeli agriculture had received, inspectors stopped the woman for inspection. The woman tried to leave the search area by claiming that her child is hungry and needed food. Inspectors found nothing in her luggage.

Then, one of the inspectors noticed something moving in the bottom of the stroller, and wrapped inside cloth diapers. That is when they found two puppies. The puppies had no documentation about their rabies blood tests and did not have health certificates.

The veterinary services took the dogs, and they returned them to Ukraine. The woman was looking to sell the Spitz dogs for between 6,000 and 15,000 shekels each. The suspect was arrested for questioning. During questioning she admitted that she had smuggled puppies to Israel several times in the past. She was released on bail.
