A man was arrested and charged with child sexual assault related charges after he sexually assaulted several of his grandsons, according to court proceedings in Israel.
The Jerusalem District Attorney today indicted a 72-year-old local man, who is suspected of a series of indecent acts and sodomy against several of his grandchildren. According to the indictment, the acts were carried out during the past two years, in the home of the grandfather and in the homes of his grandchildren.
In the indictment filed in Jerusalem District Court, prosecutors allege that between the summer of 2011 until a few weeks ago, the defendant committed indecent acts against his grandson, 15, who visited him regularly at his home. The grandchild's parents wanted that grandfather to help the child with his school work.
During the visits, the grandfather explained to the child the difference between men and women, as well as explaining the ways to achieve sexual release. After several visits, the grandfather suggested that he would help the child achieve sexual release in order for him to recognize the feeling. That is when the grandfather started molesting the child.
After a period of a few months, the grandson wanted his grandfather to stop. The grandfather opened a bank account in his grandson’s name in which the grandfather has deposited 200 shekels at a time. He also used to give cash to the grandchild during visits.
When police began investigating they uncovered that the grandfather has sexually assaulted several of his grandchildren in a similar manner.
