| Sam Horowitz dances on Broadway |
(Scroll down for video) Just one week after Sam Horowitz’s bar mitzvah dance video went viral on the internet, the boy performed to a large audience in New York City, according to video uploaded to the internet.
Thirteen-year-old Sam Horowitz smiled as he performed with female backup dancers on Good Morning America, while his mother revealed that the boy planed his bar mitzvah dance when he was just nine-years-old.
"At a very young age, we took him to his first concert," Angela Horowitz said. "The dancers came from the ceiling chandeliers and he said, ‘Mom, I'll do that for my bar mitzvah.’ I thought he would change in four years, but when Sam decides something he sticks with it,” the mother said.
The teenager, of Dallas, Texas, took the Internet by storm when a video, which was recorded last November, appeared on a Jewish parenting site. Currently, the video ranks as the most popular video on YouTube.
The video shows female dancers, a stage with his name in giant letters, and a huge round box that drops from the ceiling to give the impression that Horowitz was lowered onto the stage.
“I rehearsed every Sunday for a month for three hours with my good choreographer," Sam said.
"I never thought this would happen in my life," he said.
The performance took place at the Omni Hotel in Dallas, and video of the routine was posted on YouTube.
