(Scroll down for video) The TSA has enraged U.S. residents once again with an out of control security check on a wounded U.S. Marine, according to press reports in the United States.

The Marine who lost both of his legs to a bomb was humiliated at a TSA security checkpoint at an airport in Arizona when officers insisted that he stand and also forced him to remove his prosthetic legs, a congressman in California said in an angry letter to the TSA.

A TSA spokesperson, however, told the press that the agency has reviewed the surveillance video of the incident and stressed that the Marine was never asked to remove his legs.

The alleged incident occurred last week, when several Marines who were recovering from wounds were going through Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport security en route to San Diego, California. One of the Marines was in a wheelchair because he had lost both legs in a bomb blast, according to the letter from Congressman Duncan Hunter, a Republican from California.

After entering the security checkpoint, a TSA agent asked the Marine to stand and walk to a screening room. Many TSA agents remained seated and unwilling to help. Then, an officer forced the Marine to remove his legs. After the Marine put them back on he was moved to a secondary inspection location where he was asked again to stand with extraordinary difficulty, while his wheelchair was scanned for explosives.

"The Marine, whose prostheses were exposed, was humiliated, according to the accounts," the congressman wrote.
The TSA said in a statement that proper procedures were followed.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
