Ultra-Orthodox Jewish man under arrest |
(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged with assault related charges after he was caught detonating a stink bomb during the Gay Pride Parade in Jerusalem, Israel, according to police reports.
Jerusalem Police said that an ultra-Orthodox Jewish man threw a stink bomb on participants in the Gay Pride Parade in Jerusalem that took place in the center of the city. The man was arrested and taken to a police station for questioning.
In addition, two ultra-Orthodox Jewish women were also arrested on the same street. Police said that one woman was wearing a donkey costume while the other woman was wearing a monkey costume. The women both held signs, which said: “I am a proud donkey.” The were arrested after assaulting participants at the parade.
More than three thousand people participated in the parade in Jerusalem under the slogan "We want change."
The gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and their supporters marched Thursday through the streets of Jerusalem guarded by hundreds of police officers and border guard officers.
The march ended at the Wohl Rose Garden, which is located across the Israeli Knesset.
