(Scroll down for video) A lawyer went to the International Court of Justice to file a lawsuit against Israel among others for killing Jesus, according to court proceedings in The Hague.

Dola Indidis, a Catholic, lawyer, and former spokesperson of the Judiciary of Kenya, filed the lawsuit in connection with the death of Jesus in the International Court of Justice, the principal judicial branch of the United Nations based in The Hague in the Netherlands.

Indidis filed the lawsuit against Pontius Pilate, several ancient Jewish elders including King Herod, Tiberius, the Emperor of Rome 42 BC to 37 AD, the Republic of Italy and the State of Israel.

"I filed the lawsuit because it is my duty to defend the dignity of Jesus, and I have gone to the International Court of Justice to seek justice for the man of Nazareth," Indidis said. "Jesus’ selective and malicious prosecution violated his human rights due to judicial misconduct, abuse of office, bias and prejudice," he said.

Indidis said that the goal of the lawsuit is to have a declaration of judgment in which Jesus’ judgment and sentence are declared null and void.

The attorney further claimed that the judgment of Jesus was incompatible with the law of Galileo at the time, and that the penalty for blasphemy was stoning to death, not crucifixion.
The International Court of Justice usually focuses on territorial disputes between countries belonging to the U.N.

"The International Court of Justice has no jurisdiction for this case. The ICJ settles disputes between states. It's not even theoretically possible for us to consider this case," a spokesperson of the International Court of Justice said.
