(Scroll down for video) A bear was seen on video walking into a bar, looking for something to eat, and then, after it didn’t find anything, walked out, according to video uploaded to the internet.
Lonigan’s Bar owner, David Callahan, had an unexpected guest this past Wednesday.
Surveillance cameras in the Estes Park, Colorado, bar showed a 6-foot tall customer weighing 300 pounds, a bear of the ursine variety.
The bear allegedly ended scavenging the garbage near the bar, and before Callahan knew it he saw the furry fright inside the bar. Estes Park resident Daniel Lyell was the first to notice the bear.
"The bear did not find anything to eat so it just kept going," Daniel Lyell said. "The bear did not think too long before it started walking towards the bar," he said.
"I tried to scream 'Bear' in order for people to notice what is going on. No one seemed to notice though. The bear continued walk to the middle of the bar where all the customers were hanging out," Lyell said.
The bear, unimpressed, wandered away after a few moments.
"We are in the Rocky Mountains, it is their territory, not ours," Callahan said.
The waitress would have given the bear something if she had the time to overcome her shock.
"My first reaction was to have a heart attack and my second reaction was to give it what it wanted," she said. The bar plans to add a drink to their menu in honor of the bear.
