She was just trying to eat a biscuit, but she ended up losing her false teeth.
A seagull has decided that it would rather get itself a new pair of teeth instead of some food scraps.
Renee A'Bear was sitting in a quiet garden when she removed her dentures in order to eat a cookie. Little did she know that a naughty seagull decide to rush to her teeth and fly away with them.
The pensioner has been living for the past eight years in Eridge House Residential Home in Bexhill, England.
As soon as the bird realized that the stolen goods were useless, it decided to dump them on the roof of the home.
"Poor Renee came crying her eyes out and was absolutely distraught over losing her teeth. Luckily, her caregivers, Melanie Marchant and Gill Roy, found a ladder and while Gill stabilized the ladder, Melanie went to retrieve the stolen teeth," the home manager Linda Stevens said.
Fortunately, the set of false teeth have been cleaned and sterilized properly for A'Bear to use again.
"All of us, including Renee, have seen the funny side of this story, but she will be a little more cautious in the future with these birds around," Stevens said.
