(Scroll down for video) Satmar Jews were able to defeat Spiderman just in time before the upcoming Passover holiday, according to press reports in New York.

The movie crew of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" in South Williamsburg have agreed to reorganize their shooting schedules to appease the leaders of the Satmar Orthodox Jewish community who were angry the the movie shoot will block traffic ahead of the long Jewish holiday.

"We have expressed the importance of delaying the Spiderman shoot until after Passover and they have responded to our call," Councilman Stephen Levin Democrat, Brooklyn, who helped broker the compromise between Columbia Pictures, Mayor Bloomberg and community leaders, said.

"Thanks for letting me park,” one Williamsburg resident said.
Columbia Pictures wanted to shut down the streets surrounding Marcy Avenue and Lynch Street to shoot the sequel between March 22 to 27. Passover begins at sundown March 25.

Under the commitment, nearly all production vehicles will be contained in private lots with the exception of 10 cars outside the building," Marybeth Ihle, a spokesperson for the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, said. All the shooting will continue taking place inside the Armory as planned.

Local leaders praised the solution.
"I am happy that an agreement was reached, as they will not interrupt the preparation of the holiday and the holiday itself," Rabbi David Niederman, chairman of the United Jewish Organization of Williamsburg, said.

"It was also a matter of safety, endangering children with additional vehicles in the street. This will ensure that the community and the children will be safe," he also said.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
