The firefighters who rescued the woman and the wall |
A woman suffered major embarrassment after her behind became stuck in a wall, according to fire officials in the United Kingdom.
East Grinstead Fire officials said that a woman had to be rescued by firefighters when she got stuck in a wall after a night out.
The woman, who was not identified, sat down on the wall in order to rest in East Grinstead, West Sussex.
A police call was placed around 1:30 pm on Saturday, after the woman was heard screaming.
Emergency services managed to free her quickly.
"The wall was formed by stone pillars, some of which were varied in shape and size. The woman, who apparently sat, stood up and got her hips stuck in the wall,” firefighter Neil Mason said.
"We tried to get her out front ways but it did not work. In the end, we managed to get her out through the other side of the wall and through a gap. It is the first call of this nature any of us have been to,” the firefighter also said.
Mason added that he and his colleagues stayed professional during operation.
"I understand that a woman came this way and at some point she leaned against our wall,” Christopher Wheatley, who lives on the property, said.
"She was obviously feeling a little ill, and probably leaned on the wall to rest a bit," he said.
