The gift from the Israeli president to the royal couple |
Israelis joined the excitement of British citizens after the royal couple gave birth to a boy, as the Israeli president sent a special gift to the newborn.
Shimon Peres sent the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge a custom-made outfit to welcome the birth of their baby.
President Shimon Peres sent a hat, socks, white shirt, blue tie and pants set with the message "From Israel with love" printed on the shirt.
The baby, who has not been named, was born on Monday afternoon and weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces.
Speculation continues about whether the child will be circumcised like his grandfather Prince Charles.
Jewish community leaders congratulated the future king and queen on the birth.
Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks said: "Mazal Tov to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the birth of their son. We wish you blessings, good health and joy of being parents."
