(Scroll down for video) A girl was arrested and charged with possession of child porn related charges after she took photos of her friends having sex, according to police reports in Florida.
Pasco County Police said that a 15-year-old girl was arrested Monday afternoon for shooting and possessing a photo of another teenage girl having oral sex with a teenage boy.
She was charged with one count of aggravated child pornography.
"The two girls were friends, and one of them was dating the guy," Detective William Lindsey said. "They posed for the photo and remained friends for several months," he said.
At one point, the girls had a falling out. The girl, who took the picture, began to show the photo to her classmates and digitally distributed the child porn, police said.
"More and more teens are sending photos of themselves and each other in provocative poses,” Officer Melanie Snow said.. "We want children and parents to know that it is a felony. It's not just a silly thing that will not have a long-term effect on your life," she said.
One of the companions of the girl, 18, is suspected of posting the pornographic image to Twitter. Her mother will not turn him so the Sheriff's Office will present the case to the State Attorney to issue an arrest warrant, authorities said.
A complaint affidavit filed by the Office of the Pasco County Sheriff stated that five witnesses told a deputy that they were shown "child pornography by the defendant."
An employee of Wiregrass Ranch High School in Wesley Chapel saw the image of "two young kids engaged in oral sex" and seized the girl's phone.
The girl turned 15-years-old last month. She was arrested at her home in Land O' Lakes.
"Possession of child pornography is an offense no matter how old you are," Lindsey said. "If she had taken a picture of herself in a sexual poser, she would also be charged with child pornography," Lindsey also said.
