A man was arrested and charged with child rape related charges after he raped his two granddaughters, according to police reports in Israel.
Netanya Police said that the 83-year-old of Netanya was arrested Thursday on suspicion of raping his two granddaughters 16 years ago.
The suspect denies the allegations.
Earlier this week, the two alleged victims, who are not sisters, came to the Netanya police station in order to file a complaint against their grandfather for sexual offenses to which they were subjected to as children.
Both victims claimed that the suspect abused them when they were in his care. The women told police that the suspect had warned them to keep everything secret. The women were just 7 and 8-years-old at the time of the alleged abuse.
The victims said a few months ago, they discovered that both were harboring the same secret for many years. That is when they decided to file the complaint.
Following the complaint, the police launched an investigation into the circumstances and the suspect was arrested.
