A little girl died of heat stroke related injuries after being left locked inside a hot car for 5 hours, according to hospital officials in Israel.
The girl, one and a half years old, was left in the car alone for five hours in the Binyamin region of the West Bank.
Emergency workers, including Magen David Adom paramedics were called 12:00 pm to the Binyamin town of Dolev after receiving a report about a girl in critical condition.
The paramedics performed CPR on the girl and took her to Assaf Harofeh hospital in critical condition.
Hospital doctors declared the girl’s death.
According to the initial investigation, the toddler stayed in the car for five hours.
The initial call to police was made by a resident at about 11:15 am after noticing the baby, who was unconscious in the vehicle.
An initial police investigation revealed that she was apparently forgotten in the vehicle by her father.
