A man was arrested, charged and convicted with murder related charges after he stabbed to death a man, who stalked his sister on Facebook, according to court proceedings in the United Arab Emirates.

Now, the man, who killed a hotel clerk by stabbing him 28 times because he stalked his sister and defamed her on Facebook, has been jailed for 15 years.

The Court of Dubai found the 27-year-old man, KA, guilty of the murder of the victim, DN, after luring him into the parking lot of the hotel basement and stabbing him repeatedly with a kitchen knife.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Prosecutors said the defendant planned to kill the man because he harassed his sister on Facebook and repeatedly telephoned her.
"The accused will be deported after the completion of his punishment," Chief Justice Mohammad Jamal said.

Records showed that KA took the knife, hid it under his clothes and headed to the hotel in order to kill DN.
The defendant was called to the underground parking area, and once KA was sure they were alone, he committed the murder.
Dubai police coroner said the victim had 28 stab wounds to the upper body.

"The victim had knife cuts on his neck and arms which meant that he tried to defend himself,” the coroner testified in court.
Police identified the accused shortly after the killing through surveillance cameras of the hotel lobby and underground parking lot.

KA was arrested shortly before boarding a plane at the Dubai International Airport.
A police officer said that KA admitted that he stabbed DN because he bullied his sister on the Internet.
The defendant said that DN had worked with her sister in India.

KA has the right to appeal the court sentence within 15 days.
