Three men were arrested and charged with assault related charges after they assaulted a Jewish man in the Old City of Jerusalem, according to police reports in Israel.
Jerusalem Police said that three Arab men attacked an 18-year-old Jewish man in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem on Thursday night.
The Arab men threw the man to the floor and spat on him. The men fled from the scene. Later, police found the suspects and arrested them.
The Jewish man did not require medical attention. Police said they believe the attack was motivated by nationalism, and that the Arab men attacked the Jewish man simply because he is Jewish.
This was not the first time that Arab men beat a Jewish man. As we reported earlier, Jews continue to be physically attacked in France. Two Jews were attacked this week on their way to synagogue, according to a statement released by police in France.
The latest attack against the Jewish community occurred in the French city of Lyon, police said.
The two jewish men were attacked by three Muslim men, in an attack that was unprovoked, according to police.
The two Jews began screaming for help causing neighborhood residents to gather at the scene. The attackers fled the scene before police arrived.
Police arrived at the scene and launched a criminal investigation. Police discovered that the attack was captured on video by security cameras at a nearby store. The investigators expressed hope that the video would lead to the quick arrest of the suspects.
