A man was arrested and charged with murder related charges after stabbing his coworker to death, according to police reports in Israel.
Eilat Police said that a 26-year-old man of Petah Tikva, who works as a cook at the Dan Panorama hotel in the southern city of Eilat, was stabbed, probably during a fight with a hotel employee of Magic Sunrise. The victim suffered several stab wounds to his torso, and was taken to a local hospital, but he died later.
At around 8:00 am, Magen David Adom rescue workers received a call about a man, who was found lying in the street suffering from stab wounds to his chest. Paramedics found him near the Beit Almog, which serves as a home for hotel employees in Eilat, and began administering first aid. The victim was transferred to the trauma unit at the hospital, but despite the efforts of doctors, he was pronounced dead.
Eilat District Police began searching for the suspect, and a short time later, he was captured by police on a street near the murder scene. The suspect, a 32-year-old man of Netanya, lives and works as a cook in a hotel. He was arrested and taken to the police station for questioning. Police also found a knife in his possession, which they believe was used as the murder weapon. Police suspect that he stabbed the victim with the knife, while both of them were under the influence of alcohol.
