A senior London rabbi will have to live under strict conditions for at least another six weeks after being accused of sexually abusing numerous married women and underage ultra-Orthodox Jewish girls, according to police reports in the United Kingdom.
London Police said that Chaim Halpern, who is under police investigation for allegedly sexually assaulting women and girls and obstruction of justice, will remain under his strict bail conditions for another six weeks.
Police have also extended the bail conditions of three other men, who were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in relation to the arrest of Halpern. Halpern and the three other suspects were ordered to report to the police in six weeks for further questioning.
The four men were arrested by Barnet police in February of this year.
"No one should suffer in silence. I urge anyone who is a victim of sexual abuse to come talk to us and let us help them,” a police spokesperson said.
"Our officers are specifically trained to support you, and will thoroughly investigate your claims,” the spokesperson added.
