Several Haredi Jews were arrested and charged with drug distribution related charges after they were outed by numerous drug buyers as sellers of drugs, during an extensive investigation, according to police reports in Israel.
Police said that three men, residents of Bnei Brak and Jerusalem, were arrested today on suspicion of distributing drugs to minors in the Israeli cities of Hashmonaim and Modi'in Illit. The three were arrested after an investigation that spanned over a period of several months. All three are 20-years-old.
Police said that the arrests were made after about thirty minors were investigated. The thirty minors told by police that they purchased the drugs from these three sellers. Police have also arrested a fourth man suspected of selling drugs, but he was released to his parents because he is a minor.
During the investigation, two brothers were arrested, an adult and a minor. The minor is accused of drug trafficking and supplying drugs to other minors. The two also admitted to using drugs, using a vehicle without permission of the owner, driving without a license and to being involved in a hit and run. These two suspects were released to house arrest in Modi'in Illit.
The three suspects, who were arrested today, will face a judge later today for a bail hearing.
