(Scroll down for video) Several people are dead and many more were injured in drowning incidents across Israel over the weekend, according to hospital officials in Israel.

Police said that a number of drowning incidents occurred across Israel on Friday and Saturday, which claimed three lives and left 13 others injured, two of them in serious condition.
On Friday, a 21-year-old man drowned at a Netanya beach. The next day, a 60-year-old man drowned at a Tel Aviv beach.

The youngest victim was a 14-month-old boy of the Israeli city of Omer, who fell into the family pool. The boy’s father discovered his child’s body in the pool and immediately began performing CPR. When Magen David Adom emergency workers arrived at the scene they also performed CPR. A doctor at the scene declared the baby dead.

Thirteen others were hospitalized for drowning-related injuries. Two of them, a man, 50-years-old, and a man, 20-years-old, are in critical condition.

Police at a Tel Aviv beach managed to save the lives of three family members, who nearly drowned at a local beach. The three family members,a 25-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man and a girl, 14-years-old, were removed from the water as they struggled to stay afloat.

They were taken to a hospital, where two are in moderate condition and one is in fair condition. In the video below you can see an Israeli television crew who swam into the rip current and showed beachgoers what to do in case they are being dragged out to sea.
