Modern Family cast members stuck in elevator |
(Scroll down for video) If you are a celebrity it does not mean that you can’t get stuck in an elevator.
Cast members of the popular television show 'Modern Family' had a pretty hectic weekend as they attended a fundraiser, met people in Kansas City and an unplanned event. They were stuck for an hour in a crowded elevator.
Cast members Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson were caught in an elevator of a hotel full of people on the third floor. There were 15 other people stuck inside the elevator, according to police reports.
Just like a scene from their comedy episodes they did their best to make it fun, joking with the rest of the group they were stuck with, according to witnesses at the scene.
The three were in Kansas City for a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club.
While being stuck they made the most of it by taking photos, making videos and sharing them with their fans.
Finally, rescue workers from the Fire Department of Kansas City worked their way down from the 40th floor to free those trapped.
Ferguson tweeted: "Finally made it out of the elevator I was stuck in for one hour. At least KC firefighters are cute.”
Bowen wrote on twitter: "After an hour stuck in the elevator we were rescued by the Fire Department. Here is a picture of the inside.”
Stonestreet wrote on twitter: "Honestly, I handled being trapped in an elevator for 50 minutes better than I thought. All Jesse Tyler did was pass wind."
The three came on stage an hour later, joking with people about their ordeal.
Stonestreet ended the night by saying: "Have a good night and do not use the elevators."
People at the fundraiser at first thought it was a joke when the announcement was made that the cast members were trapped.
