A teen was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct related charges after he was caught burning Jewish holy books on the streets of Tel Aviv, according to court proceedings in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Police said that the teen was seen about midnight on Jerusalem Boulevard in Tel Aviv, burning some books. Police were called to the scene. When police arrived, they saw the boy, 16, burning Jewish holy books.
When the boy saw the police he fled from the scene.
After a short chase, police were able to arrest him.
The suspect, of the Yafo neighborhood of Tel Aviv, was brought this morning before the Tel Aviv Magistrates Court for a bail hearing.
