A Jerusalem man was arrested and charged with rape related charges after raping a little disabled boy despite being on house arrest, according to court proceedings in Nazareth, Israel.
Police said that the 46-year-old man of Jerusalem, who was previously accused of sexual harassment of a minor, is now accused of raping a boy, 12, at a religious school in Migdal Haemek, while he was under house arrest.
According to the indictment, the man, who was under house arrest in Jerusalem, was transferred with the approval of the District Court in Jerusalem, to house arrest in Migdal Haemek.
However, police said that the defendant violated the conditions of his house arrest and came to a religious educational institution, where he raped the little boy.
"An attack dog is not let out in public," a police investigator involved in the case told the court. The defendant told the Nazareth District Court the that he did not rape anyone. "I did not rape the child, someone else did it, there is a mistake," he said.
"The defendant was sentenced to house arrest in the city of Jerusalem," Orit Corinne of the Northern District Prosecutor's Office said. "He violated the order and committed additional rape crimes at the religious institution," she said. "The man is a danger to the public and he should not be released to house arrest,” Corinne told the court.
