A man was arrested and charged with murder related charges after killing his dwarf friend by spiking his beer can with a bottle of anti-depressant medication, according to court proceedings in the United Kingdom.

Now, the man faces jail after being convicted by a jury for spiking the beer of his friend as a joke.
Lee Webster, 26, of Gravesend, Kent, put a lethal dose of 27 mirtazapine tablets in the beer of 4-foot Jason Wood, 30, when he left the room to go to the bathroom during a drinking session.

Wood said that his beer taste funny when he returned, but Webster told him to keep drinking.
Three hours later, Wood was dead. Webster did not reveal that he had spiked the drink with the 30mg pills in Ramsgate, Kent, until a month later, when he confessed to his father.

He also told his sister Stephanie that he had spiked the drink because he thought it would be funny.
The autopsy revealed that Wood, who weighed just 84 pounds, had a large dose of mirtazapine inside his body, which would be fatal in others as well.

Webster also said that he had previously taken 14 or 15 tablets of mirtazapine and they just put him to sleep.
Webster denied the murder and an alternative charge of administering poison or noxious substance to endanger life.
However, a jury in Maidstone Crown Court took less than an hour to convict him of manslaughter.
