Agri Star in Postville Iowa |
A man was arrested and charged with assault related charges after stabbing a colleague at a kosher slaughterhouse in Postville, Iowa, according to police reports in Iowa.
The Postville man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the stabbing.
The incident was reported to have occurred about 7:00 pm inside the refrigerator of Agri Star. The man, John Herrera, 23, was charged with intentional injury.
Postville Police said he is accused of stabbing Abdikani Hassan, 29, of West Liberty.
Hassan was stabbed on his left shoulder. Hassan was rushed to the Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He was later airlifted to Gunderson Clinic in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Herrera is being held in the Fayette County jail.
