(Scroll down for video) A waitress was arrested and charged with assault after she poured scalding hot water on a cook.
Police were called to a restaurant after two employees got into a fight, and the female employee assaulted the male cook during the argument.
Police have arrested the 20-year-old waitress after she poured boiling water over her colleague during a personal argument, which was not work related. Alexis Carter, of Alpharetta, Georgia faces a charge of assault and battery after she allegedly burned her co-worker with hot water during the argument at the Golden Corral restaurant in Georgia.
According to an incident report, Carter had an argument with chef Marcus Benson. While they argued, Carter hit Benson in the face with a dirty mop. The argument escalated. That’s when Carter grabbed a pitcher, filled it with hot water and threw the pitcher at the cook. The pitcher hit him and the water spilled on his neck, according to police.
Police said they reviewed the surveillance camera and confirmed the assault before they arrested Carter. In a statement, Golden Corral restaurant said: "Two co workers had a dispute over a personal matter. The incident was not related to work.
