A Canadian Orthodox Jewish family is terrified after finding swastikas on their garage door along with a message saying “watch your children”, according to police reports in Toronto.
The Orthodox Jewish family in Toronto woke up one day this week to find swastikas and the words "watch your children" scrawled on the door to their garage, the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center, said in a press release.
Vandals entered the garage of the family home and have sprayed additional anti-Semitic graffiti on the furniture indoors, including a swastika on a baby high chair.
It was the second time in recent weeks that the family, who has small children, has been targeted, according to the press release. Previously, the vandals have painted a swastika on their car.
"That an individual or group of individuals are bold enough to invade someone's home and attack because they are Jews is a very dangerous turn of events in this city," Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center President and CEO Avi Benlolo said in the statement.
Police said the incident was being taken very seriously and also said that they are treating the incidents as a hate crime.
