A woman was arrested and held without bail after she had sex with an 11-year-old boy.
Megan Nicole Hayes, 21, of Brevard County, Florida, was arrested after she allegedly had sex with the 11-year-old boy, who she was hired to babysit.
Hayes was jailed despite her father's alleged claim that his daughter is intellectually challenged and does not know right from wrong. Hayes was arrested on Thursday on charges of felony sexual assault of a child under 12 years.
“If the woman is indeed intellectually challenged and she has a low IQ as the father is claiming, how is it that the family allowed her to babysit a young child? It seems like she is morally challenged more than anything else,” Jeffrey Miller, 32, of Miami, Florida, told YourJewishNews.com after being asked for comment on the arrest.
The Cocoa Beach, Florida, Police Department said that Hayes confessed to sexually abusing the child, late last month in the coastal city of Cocoa, while the boy was in her care.
Hayes is being held without bail in the Brevard County Jail. Several months ago, Hayes was arrested on charges of credit card fraud and petty theft, according to court documents.
