Margaret Mazzio with her phone |
(Scroll down for video) An elderly New York woman showed that she is not that old in spirit after whacking several men who came to rob her at her home, according to police reports in New York.
Relatives of the 75-year-old New York woman said she fought off a couple of home invaders attempts by pounding them with her home phone.
The family said the men tried to force themselves into the Queens home of Margaret Mazzio, 75, around 1:30 pm Monday.
Robyn Mazzio, who is the elderly woman’s daughter-in-law, said that one of the men gained a foothold in the house, so her mother-in-law pounded at him with her home phone. “She hit him repeatedly right in the head,” the woman said.
"Then he lunged toward her like he was going to attack her, and my sister-in-law grabbed him by the arms and threw him out the door," she said.
The men, who neighbors said may have been the same men suspected recently seen walking up and down the street with FedEx vests, fled empty-handed.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
