A woman was arrested and charged with murder related charges after intentionally running over her former boyfriends with her car, according to police reports in Connecticut.

Police said that the woman used the car to pin the victim against the cement garage wall.
Cherelle Baldwin of Bridgeport was charged with one count of murder in a state court in the death of 24-year-old Jeffrey Brown, the father of her infant son. Baldwin, 21, was arrested, and was being held on $1 million bail. She was arrested on Monday after a three-week investigation.

Relatives of Baldwin defended her actions, saying that Brown choked her with a belt and she trust tried to save her own life. Baldwin and Brown had a history of domestic violence.
Brown's family denied that he tried to suffocate her.

"My son never threatened to kill her," Jeffrey Hines, the father of the victim, said. "She took my only son away from me," the devastated father added.

Baldwin's car traveled 100 feet before hitting Brown. Police determined that Baldwin accelerated the vehicle the entire time. The impact pushed the wall over 10 inches, police spokesperson William Kaempffer said.
"Murder was the appropriate charge," he said.

Brown was pinned between the car and the wall when police and firefighters arrived. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful, police said. Baldwin herself suffered a leg injury, police said.
