Just weeks after a police dragging incident in South Africa that drew international condemnation, it happened again, according to press reports in the United States.

A police officer in South Africa has been arrested for allegedly dragging a man from a police vehicle in the second such incident in recent weeks.

South Africa's police watchdog agency said that the latest incident occurred last week in northwest Lomanyang province, and was reported to authorities this week. The agency said that after a dispute, a police officer allegedly took a man and dragged him about 100 meters or 300 feet from a vehicle, causing severe foot injuries to the man.

The officer was arrested and will appear in court on Friday.
In another incident, nine South African Police officers were accused of murdering a Mozambican taxi driver who was dragged from a police vehicle east of Johannesburg last month. Some onlookers recorded the event that caused a national outcry.
