(Scroll down for video) A Florida woman did not have time to make it into the hospital to give birth.
She gave birth outside the hospital while a photographer recorded the birth.
The birth of a new baby is usually an intimate time for the new parents, but for one family, it happened publicly, in front of a busy hospital.
Amy Beth Bennett of Boca Raton, Florida, is a photographer for a newspaper. She is used to taking photos of other people’s special moments. This time, however, she was on the other side of the lens as she gave birth to her baby on the sidewalk of the Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
"I was not in any particular hurry, but once my water broke, it became obvious it would happen immediately," Bennett said. Someone brought her a wheelchair so she can be rushed inside, but before she could sit down in the chair the baby came. "I never sat in the wheelchair, I just leaned on it for support and pushed the baby right out," she said.
little Sienna Grace made her grand entrance into the world before her mother could enter the hospital. Her friend and fellow photographer Emily Robinson, was there to capture the special moments.
After the birth, the mother and baby were taken into the hospital, and are doing just fine.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
