(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested after crashing his car by driving and having sex at the same time.
Police said that in addition to him being distracted by the sexual activity the man was drunk.
Albuquerque, New Mexico, police said Luis Briones, 25, is facing multiple charges after he was having sex with a woman while driving. He then crashed the car and the woman was ejected from the vehicle.
Briones was allegedly driving the car with the woman on his lap when he ran a red light and crashed his car. After he wrecked his Ford Explorer the man came out of his car with only one shoe on and his shorts inside out. His female passenger was found naked outside the van after being ejected during the accident. She was taken to the hospital where she was treated for cuts on her head and face.
Authorities allege that Briones tried to flee the scene after the accident while leaving his passenger behind, but a witness grabbed his keys from the ignition and stopped him from leaving. He also allegedly tried to hide from officers by going behind some trees.
“Their behavior was irresponsible and reckless, not only to themselves but to the other drivers on the road. He could have crashed into another car and hurt or kill someone,” Kathy Evans, 21, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, told YourJewishNews.com when asked her opinion of the incident.
Briones is charged with aggravated DWI, reckless driving and evading police. The woman is expected to recover and was not charged with any crime.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
