A boy wanted to show off his fine wine taste to his friends by running up a bar bill of more than $50,000 in one night, according to police in Japan.
The Japanese teenager has charged the $54,000 bar tab to a credit card belonging to his father during the night out with friends.
The 16-year-old however, stole the credit card from his father so he could enjoy an evening in one of the most exclusive and expensive clubs in Kyoto.
According to police, the teen spent $3,800 per bottle of wine.
However, a Japanese court has decided that his father was not responsible to pay the entire bill.
The judge ordered the father to pay just $7,500 of the $54,000 bill.
