(Scroll down for video) A 33-year-old woman, who is living off of her parents rather than going to work, has told the world her excuse for not seeking a job.
The woman has claimed that her good looks is the reason why she refuses to seek employment.
Laura Fernee, 33, graduated with a doctorate and worked in a laboratory for three years before resigning in 2011. She has not had a job since.
"I'm not lazy, and I'm not stupid," she said. "The truth is that my good looks has caused huge problems for me when it comes to employment, so I made the decision that a job is not for me at this time.
"It is not my fault. I cannot help the way I look," she said.
Fernee, who lives in Notting Hill, London, said male colleagues only notice her for the way she looks, and female coworkers were jealous of her.
"I wanted men to recognize my achievements and my professionalism, but all they saw was the face and body. The other women assumed because I was pretty, I was stupid, so they did not take me seriously at first, and because of their own insecurities they were jealous of my appearance. Then, when they realized that I was very good at my job, possibly better than them, they hated me even more," the woman complained.
“I think she is just lazy and blaming her laziness on her good looks. Why can’t she take a job in the beauty industry or work as a model? She is full of it. I feel bad for her parents,” Melinda Baker, 22, of London, England told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the woman who refuses to work because of her good looks.
Fernee’s parents are currently paying her rent and bills which currently amounts to $3,000 per month, and for her new designer clothing and bags.
"I know people will judge me for choosing not to work, but they are underestimating what a curse good looks can be in the workplace," Fernee said.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
