(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested and charged with assault related charges after throwing glass jars of pickles at a restaurant work after the employee placed too many pickles on her sandwich, according to a statement released by police in Massachusetts.
Police in Massachusetts said the woman also punched the female employee with her fists due to the amount of pickles on her sandwich.
Police said that Tina Drouin, 49, ordered a steak and cheese sandwich at Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs restaurant located at the Quincy metro station on Saturday and complained how the sandwich was being prepared. She then began to scream that there were too many pickles in him.
Several Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs employees could just not please Drouin, according to police.
Drouin demanded a full refund and allegedly became violent when the employee does not return her money. She allegedly struck another woman in the face and threw two large jars of pickles on her, causing the worker to fall to the ground.
"Drouin fled the station, however, the female restaurant worker was determined not to let Drouin flee justice. She chased the suspect and caught up with her, holding her until officers arrived,” police said.
“I am happy that the restaurant worker stood up for herself and fought back. Restaurant workers do not need to take abuse from crazy customers. If the woman did not like Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs sandwiches she could have just prepared the sandwich herself or go to a different restaurant,” Joyce Ramos, 37, of Boston, Massachusetts told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the pickle attack.
