(Scroll down for video) People are angry after police officers issued tickets to a car despite the fact that a dead body was inside for days, according to press reports in Michigan.

Traffic police fined the illegally parked vehicle for two days in a row, even though there was a man dead inside.
The officers apparently did not care that the body of Jayme Earle, 26, was slumped in the passenger seat when they slapped fines on his vehicle on Tuesday and Wednesday.

It was only when a passerby called police to check the vehicle, which was parked for three days on a street in Kalamazoo, Michigan, that his body was retrieved.
Local resident Graham Foley told a television news station that the incident was ridiculous.

"When giving another ticket, police should look and check what is happening, rather than adding another ticket. Another ticket on top of the older ticket is absurd," Foley said.
Kalamazoo police said they are not sure if the the body was in the car when the ticket was given.

Police also said that there were no signs of violence and are still investigating the cause of death.
Earle, who lived with his mother and stepfather, was reported missing last Thursday after not coming to work for two days.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
