| Orestes De La Paz selling soap from his own body fat |
A man decided to sell his own body in order to raise some cash. No! It is not what you think.
For $1,000.00, the artist, Orestes De La Paz from Florida, will sell you a bar of soap made from his own body fat.
The project, which is currently on display at the Frost Museum in Miami, happened after De La Paz had a cosmetic procedure late last year, and decided to do something with his fat rather than throwing it away.
The De La Paz exhibition also features images of the artist undergoing liposuction, boiling fat into soap, and washing himself with his own soap.
“Until I saw it for myself I couldn't believe that people will actually pay so much money to buy soap made from real human fat. It is just unreal what people buy these days. For so much money, I might start selling my own fat as well,” Sherri Hogan, 44, of Seattle, Washington told YourJewishNews.com after watching the exhibition.
The artist also Challenged Lady Gaga to wash herself with his soap.
