(Scroll down for video) A baseball team saved a girl’s life after lifting her mother’s car off of her.
The group of high school baseball players in California, came to a teen girl's rescue on Wednesday after she was hit by a car in their school's parking lot.
During their last practice of the season on a nearby field, the men heard screams for help, so ran to see what was happening. They found the girl pinned under a vehicle. Together they lifted the car and pulled the girl to safety.
The girl's mother was driving the vehicle, when she accidentally hit another car in the parking lot of Valley High School in Sacramento. She then reversed the car without realizing that her daughter was behind the car, she hit her daughter who became trapped underneath.
About a dozen of the baseball players helped lift the four-door sedan off of the girl, according to the players. The teams' assistant coach was then able to pull her out from underneath.
“They were at the right place at the right time and they were able to save the girl. I cannot imagine the horror of the mother after seeing that she hit her daughter almost taking her life. I am happy that all ended well,” Jennifer White, 30, of Sacramento, California told YourJewishNews.com after hearing about the inncident.
The girl is expected to make a full recovery.
