(Scroll down for video) A boy was arrested and charged with bank robbery related charged after robbing a bank while dressing up like an old man, according to a statement released by police in London, England.
The 16-year-old schoolboy, has now been jailed for robbing the bank.
Miles Alura stole from the bank along with two accomplices.
According to video surveillance, Miles wore facial prosthetics, makeup and a wig of dreadlocks down to his waist, in order to carry out the attack.
The three men threatened staff with guns and detained workers with handcuffs and a dog leash, before leaving with $80,000.
Alura was found hiding in a nearby garden shortly after he removed the disguise. The children's fingerprints were later found on paperwork at the scene.
Detectives have linked the three to another theft of $160,000.
“In all the effort of dressing up as an elderly man, the boy forgot to hide one basic thing that all thieves know must be kept hidden, his fingerprints. I guess now he learned his lesson, and the teen will hopefully realize that robbing banks does not pay off in the long run,” Kim Price, 32, of London, England told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the robbery.
The three defendants pleaded guilty. Alura received five years in prison, while his accomplices were given three years and a 12-month detention and training order, respectively.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
