(Scroll down for video) A woman is accusing an Israeli doctor of sexually assaulting her at a hospital during a routine checkup, according to a statement released by the alleged victim.
The woman said that the routine checkup at the hospital deteriorated into a sexual offense. The 60-year-old woman who suffers from cancer, complained to Tel Aviv police after she was sexually assaulted by a physician intern during the examination.
"My hands were on both sides of the bed, I looked to the sky and could not utter a word," the woman recalled. "I regained my composure after what seemed like an eternity and said: 'What are you doing to me? You're not supposed to check down there?" The woman added.
The doctor's response, according to the complainant, was surprising. "His responded by lifting the sheet and saying: 'Oops', as if it were a small thing," she said.
“This is a very difficult case. Unfortunately, some doctors exploit patients, but sometimes, patients falsely believe they are being sexually assaulted when in reality they are just being examined. I hope that the police will get to the bottom of this,” Nathan Stein, 67, of Natanya, Israel told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the accusations against the doctor.
Wolfson Hospital officials rejected her claims, saying that the procedure was an integral part of her examination. Officials also added that the police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
